Completed in 2008 at a cost of more than $24 million, the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center is one of the nation's premier facilities for swimming and diving.
The Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center elevates Tennessee's status among the nation's elite swimming and diving programs.
The state-of-the-art facility boasts a full-size 50-meter competition pool, a separate competition diving well, a strength training center, sports medicine facility and high-tech team room.
A separate competition diving well features five platforms with heights varying from one to ten meters.
Other amenities include permanent seating for 1,800 spectators with a spacious deck area to accommodate up to 2,000 additional individuals, teams and other personnel comfortably during meets.
The Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center is located next to the Student Aquatic Center, which served as Tennessee's previous home pool.
With the new facility, Tennessee now has two indoor 50-meter pools, two indoor diving wells and an outdoor 50-meter pool with a diving well. These facilities combine to give Tennessee one of the top aquatic centers in the country.
